Drinking Turkish coffee is a centuries-old ritual, enjoyed best in the company of friends and sometimes followed by some fortune telling.

As the poet says; “Not the coffee, nor the coffeehouse is the longing of the soul. A friend is what the soul longs for, coffee is just the excuse."

Turkish coffee is unique because it allows your fortune to be told by looking at the cup. This custom of coffee cup reading is at least as old as Turkish coffee itself, and it is repeated with each and every cup consumed.  This coffee party happens to be done casually among friends.  Turkish coffee cup reading is a widespread and popular fortune telling method, which speaks of both the past and the future.  Hence you enjoy a fine cup of Turkish coffee, and get mystical glimpses into your future.

We’ve set aside an evening to enjoy some Turkish Coffee reading. Also, for those of you who enjoy dressing up for tea please come and bring your own Tea Cup and Saucer if you have one.

Learn about your amazing eyes!

Dorothy will to show us a 20 minute tape... then she has hand outs for us... she is bringing her microscope so you can see your eyes and that of the person next to you.. she has colored pictures of the different eyes and the health issues related to each... then the second half she will have hands on with teaching ..  it is going to be a very informative class...

It is said that the “eyes are the windows to the soul”, Dorothy Blanchard will speak about the fascinating subject of Iridology to show us that eyes are indeed windows into our health helping us know ourselves better.

Iridology is the study of the color, pigmentation and structure of the iris of the eye as it relates genetically to the strengths and deficiencies of the body system.  No two eyes are alike and each color and marking has a unique meaning for each individual. Over a thousand years ago physicians examined patient’s eyes to determine methods of treatment.

Dorothy has had a number of years experience in the medical field. She has performed as an LPN, phlebotomist, EKG and surgical technician as well as an infusion nurse, colon hydrotherapist and has done ear candling. She holds a Masters in Holistic Nutrition with an Herbal Compliment and currently received her Diploma in Iridology.

A hands on class where Dorena will teach the basics of mixing essential oil with lotion.  You’ll have a Choice of “flavors” like Jasmine, Geranium, Vanilla, Lavender and Tea Tree.
